Firestopping

Firestopping is not just one material or item, but a complete fire protection system of various materials and components that seal openings and joints in fire-resistance rated wall and/or floor assemblies. Materials and components used may include mineral fibers, intumescents, cementitious mortars, silicone, urethane, firestop pillows, and rubber compounds.

GDA Contractors has the experience, training, and certifications to properly install firestopping in a variety of building types and construction assemblies. We are Factory Mutual (FM) 4991 Certified Contractors, undergo yearly auditing for proper installation, record keeping, and quality control processes, and work closely with respected manufacturers such as Hilti, STI, Rector Seal, 3M, and Tremco.
