With over 11 years of experience in large-scale commercial construction and waterproofing, Guy Nikiema serves as General Manager of GDA Contractors’ Houston office. He oversees project planning, safety, quality control, sales, client relationships, and team development, ensuring every project is completed to the highest standards. Guy earned his bachelor’s degree in Construction Science from Prairie View A&M University and began his career at GDA as a Safety and Quality Control Coordinator before advancing to Operations Manager and, ultimately, General Manager. He is passionate about creating innovative solutions, delivering exceptional customer service, and empowering his team to succeed.
What motivates you in your work or leadership role? I’m motivated by knowing that the work we do makes a positive difference. Whether it’s creating innovative solutions, delivering excellent customer service, or supporting my team, I enjoy seeing the impact our work has on the people around us.

What’s a hobby or interest you enjoy outside of work? When I’m not traveling to visit relatives in West Africa, I enjoy spending time with my family in Texas. Most of my free time is spent fishing with my two boys, helping my wife in the garden, fixing the chicken coop, or wrangling goats on our homestead.
