Jose Salcedo serves as the Safety & Quality Manager for GDA Contractors, where he oversees company-wide safety and quality programs across six branch locations in Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico. As a member of the Leadership Team, he works closely with executive leadership to strengthen safety culture, improve operational performance, and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and industry best practices. With more than a decade of experience in the construction industry, Jose has built his career on developing practical solutions that protect people, improve quality, and support successful project execution.
Throughout his career, Jose has led accident investigations, implemented company-wide training initiatives, managed quality assurance programs, and mentored safety professionals across multiple regions. He is passionate about continuous improvement and believes that strong communication, accountability, and teamwork are the foundation of every successful organization. His goal is to help create environments where employees can perform their best while returning home safely every day.
What’s one accomplishment in your career that you’re most proud of? Helping build and lead GDA’s Safety & Quality program across the company while serving on the Leadership Team has been one of the most rewarding milestones of my career.
What motivates you in your work or leadership role? I’m motivated by knowing that the work we do directly impacts people’s lives. Creating a culture where employees go home safely every day while delivering quality work is what drives me.
What’s a hobby or interest you enjoy outside of work? Outside of work, my favorite thing is spending time with my daughter. I enjoy watching her karate classes and cheering her on as she grows and develops new skills.
